ABOUT BODY WISE WELLNESS

Two practitioners.
One way of seeing health.

Body Wise Wellness is an integrative health clinic in Lalor, in Melbourne’s north. We bring different disciplines together because the people we see rarely experience their health in neat, separate pieces.

OUR STORY

Where it all began

Body Wise Wellness started with Phanos, and with a question he kept coming back to in his early years of practice: why do so many people feel as though their health is being looked at in pieces?

For just over 30 years, he’s answered that question by looking at the whole person. Through naturopathy, Western herbal medicine, nutrition and acupuncture, he built a practice where the story behind your symptoms matters as much as the symptoms themselves.

Vanessa’s path into the clinic was a natural next step. She has always been drawn to wellness and to women’s health, and to the women who hold everything together for everyone else, often at their own expense. When she joined Body Wise Wellness, she brought her training in integrative counselling and nutrition health coaching, and a deep interest in how stress and the nervous system shape the way we feel in our bodies.

We come at health from different directions, and we meet in the same place: the whole person.

Our work is deeply connected to the way we live. We’re married, raising our three children, and the foundations we speak about in clinic — nourishing food, rest, rhythm, connection and listening to the body — are values we naturally carry into our home as well.

That has shaped the way we care for the people who come to see us. We understand that health needs to fit within real life, and that meaningful change is often built through simple, sustainable choices. Our approach is thoughtful, personal and practical — taking the time to understand you, what you need, and how we can support you in a way that feels achievable and genuinely supportive.

The principles behind how we practise

WHAT WE BELIEVE

01

The whole person, not the symptom list

We consider your history, circumstances and experience alongside your physical concerns.

02

Understanding before recommendations

We take the time to see the full picture before suggesting a way forward.

03

Care that fits real life

Plans should be realistic for your life, not a list of rules that’s impossible to keep up.
